My first road trip to New England with a self conducted car
brought me to places of my childhood. Yale, New Haven, CT,
Boston, MA, and MIT, MA : Well known well known.
This time I was more interested in comparison of the
main campus' buildings. Who has outstanding old brick
houses and stunning views on the river?! Who wins the architecture
and charme fight ?
Compare these four pictures: (1) shows the gothic Yale library,
the (2) depicts kind of a soccer field within the campus of MIT,
including acces to the river , (3) reveals the wonderful brown
stone houses of Harvard, which is also responsable for rebuilding
the Roman Collosseum within its Campus walls in (4).
My preference? MIT ! With their modern Mensa, ideally located
at the river in a cool neighboorhood (Yale entourage is more or less
criminal..) and especially NO campus police and entirely open
doors to public.
Remember posts of MY university, oh dear,..:-(
