Of fish and men: Venice, QC

Venice, city of plaisure and love,
tremendous architecture and usually gentle temperatures
shows in one of its namesakes a quite different but still
romantic atmosphere: Venice in Quebec, quite close to
the United States border, which is by the way on ice,
is an ice fishing must go mekka in our state!

For 75$ each, a small cozy wood stove heated
shack welcomes you in the middle of the Lake
Champlain - famous for its rich neighbourhood
when it comes to the Vermont and New York
State coast.

"I bring you 25 researchers - who never fished!"
We had to take a car which drove us (on ice !) to
the area where fishes are caught by simple small pieces
of wood with a nylon cord. As lure you use
a small fish, which should stay - at least half an hour -
alive. With a hook in his back.
This attracts the bigger ones and so was: Two of
us caught big predators , we ate them immediatly
prepared on the BBQ in one of the shacks.

The author is happy: Bringing some students right from
the desert onto ice for the first time and you might
see the world slightly changed: By you!

Have a winter feeling with this pictures,
(click on the picture below and observe the
pictures GPS position !)
where ever you are:
yours  - Flò
