Twenty years after the reunification : Results of the Elections 2009 in Berlin

Twenty years after Germany reunificated, twenty years after the
city of Berlin started to melt into the new german capital.
Well, look at the Figure above, depicting the results of the
German parliamentary elections. The western part votes for CDU,
the east however is loyal to the former communists LINKE.
The center, i.e. Kreuzberg, Mitte, Friedrichshain is highly
less traditional: Both districts vote THE GREENS.
